Traditional detached cottage in the heart of the countryside

General Presentation

Traditional detached country cottage situated in a small hamlet (we are the owners of this hamlet). The cottage is light and spacious (100 m²) it has got in it’s west end a covered terrace with grill, table and chairs. Also a private garden with lawn, sun deck chairs, benches, sun umbrellas, outdoor games for children. A yard in front of the house and parking spaces.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

Le Bignon des Pres is situated at SEVIGNAC in rural countryside about 1.5 km from the village, 3 km from the Rochereuil site (lake, camping site, festivities…) and 3 km from  the RN 12 (free motorway) halfway between RENNES (airport) and SAINT-BRIEUC (both 50 km away).

 The sea is 25 / 30 km away (Pléneuf Val André and Erquy). We are lucky to have large sandy beaches (some kilometer long) and fantastic rocky coast, some medieval  towns like DINAN 25 km away, SAINT-MALO inner town surrounded by a fortified wall, many fortresses dating back in the days of Vauban and situated on strategics rocky islands, also the new aquarium, CANCALE famous for the oyster breeding, le MONT SAINT MICHEL about 70 km away, some wilder site like the CAP FREHEL a large moorland covered with heather and overlooking the sea from the top of the high granitic cliffs, being a paradise for nesting birds, not far from it is the FORT LA LATTE mediaval fortress situated on a rock point above the sea (once site for the Hollywod movie « the vikings » featuring the actor Kirk Douglas), and closer to us small towns like JUGON LES LACS old houses, lake (sailing,swimming pool,camping, fishing, festivities etc…) BROONS (heated swimming pool, tennis etc…)

DESCRIPTION

• Ground floor :

Kitchen with old open fireplace fitted with an « insert » old oak beams, eating corner, gas cooker/oven, fridge, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle, etc..
Dining room, beams, table and chairs, dresser.

Lounge (40m²) with old open fireplace, beams, colour TV satellite Astra (CNN, Sky News, MTV…) and French TV, video recorder, sofa with armchairs, table, chairs, old breton wooden trunk.

• Upstairs :

- Big bedroom with large wardrobe, bed (180 cm), private shower room with washbasin

- Opposite landing 2nd bedroom, wardrobe, 1 bed (140 cm) plus 2 bank beds (90 cm)...

- Separate bathroom with toilet, washbasin, shower...
